Charlotte Bronte

Charlotte Bronte was born in 1816. Charlotte had a brother, Patrick, and four sisters, Emily, Maria, Elizabeth and Anne. The family moved to Haworth in 1820, and in the following year her mother had died. In 1824 the four eldest daughters were sent to Clergy Daughter's School at Cowan Bridge. In 1825 Maria and Elizabeth became sick and soon after passed away. In 1831 Charlotte was sent to another school named Roe Head School, but after a year she soon came home and started to teach her sisters. In 1835 she returned to Roe Head School to be a governess, but it didnt last for very long. In 1852 she was proposed to by a  Rev. A. B. Nicholls. At first she refused but then she decided to go with it. It is said that she did not marry for love. In 1854 she was pregnant with her first child when she caught pnemonia. There was a cure for this but she did not want it as she saw it as a way to end her life. After a very legthy and painfull time she finally died, and probably of dehydration.
